I have found it hard to create a true red dichroic fused glass pendant. The dichroic turns more orange after the fusing. So, I have been fusing dichroic glass onto red glass. For this fused glass pendant, I fused a strip of silver dichroic glass to a piece of red opal glass. It is about 2 inches long.

I just love the color of this fused glass pendant. The texture of the glass is called Accordian. The teal horizontal stripes are raised, which gives it the texture. I didn’t add a clear on top of the pink dichroic, because I like the texture and I like to do different things.
I made this fused glass pendant into a slide. I added a small piece of fiber paper between the pink accordian dichroic glass and a piece of black glass behind it. The fiber paper leaves a hole for a satin cord or a silver chain. It is great for people who are allergic to metals, since there isn’t a bail.

I bought some of the new dichroic glass that makes this “Krinkle” pattern after it is fused. The manufacturer (CBS) suggests fusing it without a piece of glass on top to get the Krinkle design. Experimenting with it is a lot of fun!

This was a fun fused glass spoon rest to make. I put white glass stringers in a candle flame to bend it. It is so easy. All you have to do is hold the glass stringer in the flame for 8 to 10 seconds and the stringer starts to melt. At this point, bend the stringer however you want it to look. There will be black ash at the bend, but don’t worry about it. It will burn off when you fuse it in the kiln.

This fused glass pendant has all the colors of the rainbow! It is so colorful! When this fused glass pendant is taken out into the sunshine, it really sparkles. It is hard to describe, but it is really beautiful.
I bought this rainbow-striped dichroic glass and cut it so it had these colors. There are a lot of ways to use this piece of dichroic glass.

This stunning fused glass vase was made with 96 Spectrum sea green glass. I used two 12 inch sheets of glass and turned one of the sheets 45 degrees. I fused it and then draped it over my12 inch cone mold.

I just love iridized glass! It gives this fused glass vase a sparkle and shine! After firing iridized glass, the different colors appear, like the purples and greens and golds! Put this fused glass vase in the sunlight and the metallic layer really sparkles. I love making basket weave glass art.
When someone buys one of my glass art pieces, I feel like a part of me is leaving. However, I do tell myself that I can always make another one, but some pieces are one-of-a-kind and can’t be duplicated. There are several glass art pieces that I have been meaning to make another one, but other projects take priority.
