Fused Glass Spoon Rest

Fused Glass Spoon Rest

Someone saw a Fused Glass Spoon Rest similar to this one on one of my past blog posting.  She said she just loved it and wanted one for herself.  I made two more fused glass spoon rests with the two fishies.

The two fishies for the Custom Order Fused Glass Spoon Rest were a dark blue glass with white eyes.  The two fishies for the second fused glass spoon rest (the one in the picture above) were an iridized dark blue glass with white eyes.  The white eyes didn’t fuse into the iridized glass — they only tack fused, so you can feel the eyes.  It was a nice surprise.

I put this fused glass spoon rest on my website.

I love your work especially the spoon rests. As a novice to fusing I am trying to find how to do things other than pendants and coasters. The spoon rests would make an ideal Christmas presant,do you need a mould to make them? I have just got a fusion 8 kiln

    Hi Catriona,

Thanks for your compliments about my glass art!!

I use a mold to slump the spoon rest and give it shape. I bought mine from Slumpys.com and Delphiglass.com.
