Sparkly Red Fused Glass Plate

For this fused glass plate I used red iridized glass to make the basket weave design.  The basket weave design was then fused to two layers of clear glass and the fused glass plate measures 11″ square.  I recently made a glass vase using the same red iridized glass for the basket weave design.  I didn’t fuse it to clear glass.  I put the tack fused basket weave design on top of a cone mold and draped the glass to make a fused glass vase.  I recently sold the glass vase to a Gallery.

This is one of my favorite glass plates.  You may have seen a posting of a similar plate only with black iridized glass as the basket weave design.
