Clear Fused Glass Vase with Blue Glass Lace

Fused Glass Vase with blue lace

Fused Glass Vase with blue lace2

I have always enjoyed making fused glass lace.  I have incorporated it into many different projects.  For this fused glass vase, I fused the blue glass lace to a piece of clear glass.  Then, I draped the fused glass into a vase.  These have been very popular at our Art Festivals.  I wish I had more time to make a whole bunch of these fused glass vases!

I have a piece of red glass lace that is waiting to be fused to a piece of clear glass – similar to this vase.  I will post a picture when I get it done and take a picture of it.

Lots of Fused Glass Pictures Coming Soon

I just took a bunch of pictures of some fused glass spoon rests, vases, wine bottles stoppers and plates!!  We have a couple of Art Festivals coming up this month, so I have beeen restocking the shelves with more fused glass art.

I also sent a bunch of Grey Goose and Absolut Vodka Bottle Spoon Rests and Trivets to one of our Galleries in Newport, Oregon on the coast – a great Gallery: Inscapes Gallery.   They should be set for a little while!!

Red Fused Glass Spoon Rest

Red Fused Glass Spoon Rest

Red Fused Glass Spoon Rest

This red fused glass spoon rest is a popular color when I sell them at Art Festivals.  These glass spoon rests do look great on almost any color stove or counter-top. The main fused glass spoon rest has two layers of glass making it very substantial.  To decorate the glass spoon rest, I cut small squares of black and white and even small squares to put on top of the opposite color.

Black Heart Fused Glass Pendant

Fused Glass Pendant Black Heart

I just made this fused glass pendant for a customer.  I had a red heart glass pendant on display at our booth at an Art Festival.  A lady asked me if I had a black heart glass pendant and I told her that I didn’t.  However, I told her I would make one for her, if she wanted and she said “REALLY!!”  She told me that she used to have one that her father gave her a long time ago and she had lost it.  She felt really sad about losing it, because her father had made it while serving in the military.  She wasn’t sure how he made it.  She had been looking for a replacement until she saw my red heart fused glass pendant.  Apparently, it resembled the one she lost.

I told her I was very busy with Christmas orders, so wouldn’t get to it until after New Years or so.  She said that was fine, since it was for her, anyway.  After I made one for her, I needed to glue a bail onto the fused glass pendant.  Well, the bail came off after my husband does his “test” to see if the bail is secure.  This glue wasn’t very old, so I was surprised that it didn’t work.  So, I opened a new package and glued the bail on the glass pendant, again.  This time – success!

I got an email from the lady when she got her new fused glass pendant.  She said she loved it and it was worth the wait 🙂

Fused Glas Frit Bowl

Fused Glass Frit Bowl

This fused glass bowl was made out of glass frit, which are small pieces of glass.  I tack fused the pieces together and then slumped it into a bowl mold.

Fused Glass Plate with Black Iridized Borders

Fused Glass Plate

This fused glass plate has black prismatic iridized borders with a clear piece in between.  I added dichroic noodles to accent the edges of the borders and put another one in the clear piece.  This fused glass plate is 10″ square.  It is both functional and decorative.  When the light hits the front of this fused glass plate, the iridized glass and the dichroic noodles really sparkle!  When I had this on display at my booth, people’s eyes would be attracted to this fused glass plate.  It is fun to watch people looking at this glass plate.

Dichroic Glass Bracelet

Fused Glass Bracelet

Dichroic Fused Glass Bracelet

This dichroic glass bracelet has emerald dichroic glass glued onto a special bracelet made for it.  The colors of the dichroic glass change when it is in the sunlight and moved around.  I had it on display at our booth and a guy walked up to it and said each piece looked like a different color – like a rainbow of colors.  When he got close to it, he realized each piece was the same color, but still he was so impressed by how the colors changed.
