Orange Fused Glass Vase

.Fused Glass Vase - Godiva OpalArt Basket Weave

The fused glass vases with a basket weave design are one of my favorite glass projects. For this glass vase, I used 96 Spirit Godiva OpalArt. I cut the glass in strips and tack fused them into the basket weave design. After that I draped the glass over a stainless steel cone mold to make this fused glass vase. I made a similar one for a cousin who graduated from high school last year. One of her favorite colors is orange, so this glass was perfect. She loved the fused glass vase I made for her.

Dream – Fused Glass Pendant

Glass Pendant

For this fused glass pendant, I love the “dream” sentiment, because I need to dream more in my life.  I usually go about my day, like most people, and rarely dream about things I would like to do sometime, like traveling.  Every once in awhile, my husband and I will talk about places we would like to visit someday (most places are overseas, so I will have to become a well-known artist making big bucks – yeah, right 🙂 ).

Anyway, back to the glass pendant, I learned something about these symbols at an Art Festival.  I have two different symbols that say happiness.  My husband was confused by it and thought one of them must be wrong.  However, someone told us that in Asia, there are many different languages that use symbols like these and they can be interpreted differently.  I hope that makes a little sense.  If anyone can explain it better, please let me know!
